M31 The Andromeda Galaxy
This was actually a commissioned work. I had taken a shot of Andromeda and worked on processing it for days, but my wife knew I wasn’t happy with it. She sent me into the field to get one that we’d both like on the wall.
So I went out over six nights collecting data, which taught me a lot about how to manage mosaic jobs, and worked on the processing for about three weeks, starting over from scratch at least three times.
This is about 10 hours of integration time, or something like 900 individual 40-second frames. Took about six hours for Astro Pixel Processor to chew on it.
