The Trifid and Lagoon Nebulae
This is the longest I’ve ever gone for an astrophoto — all the way down to Big Bend National Park in an ancient truck camper named Rocinante and accompanied by the inimitable Finn. The skies in BBNP are so dark that it’s hard to see constellations among the absolute riot of stars overhead.
These are the M20 Trifiid and M8 Lagoon Nebulae. About an hour and a half total exposure time.
